The principle of micro filtration is the mechanical separation of particles ranging from 0.1µm to 10µm from a fluid by passing the fluid through a membrane. By micro filtration all impurities in the fluid larger than the pore size of the membrane are retained. The driving force of the micro filtration is the differential pressure between feed and filtrate flow. Micro filtration is used for clarification, sterilization etc.. |
