Jord is an Australian multi-disciplined engineering company that designs, manufactures and supplies both individual process equipment and complete turnkey plants.
Jord started business in Sydney in 1972 and today, 30 years later, has a permanent staff of about 100 people. Annual sales exceed $50 million, of which a large portion is into the ASEAN countries serviced directly by the Singapore office. Other offices are located in Perth and Melbourne.
A sister company, Jord Engineers India Ltd, is based in Baroda, India. It has 20 acres of fabrication facilities, and annual revenues of over $30 million.
Whilst primarily a chemical engineering company, Jord offers a comprehensive engineering service, with engineers covering all related engineering disciplines; civil, structural, mechanical and electrical.
Jord has three operating companies: Jord Engineers, Jord Balcke-Duerr and Jord Bellows. However, with its comprehensive range of engineering disciplines and many international technical affiliations, Jord designs and constructs plants and equipment for other unit operation applications, and to flowsheets supplied by others.
